Fortem Australia is a not-for-profit organisation that works to improve the mental health and wellbeing of Australia’s law enforcement, national security and first-responder communities. Fortem is independent of Government and works directly with current-serving individuals, and their families, to have positive impacts on overall well-being.

In 2020, Australia was already suffering from a long-term nationwide drought, only to experience its ‘Blackest Summer’ in history losing some 18.6 million hectares (46 million acres) of bush land in the 2019/20 summer season. As the country began to raise back to it’s feet, the COVID-19 pandemic hit, forcing our ‘First Responders’ to action yet again.
